Local Fisherman Attacked By A Great White Shark

On July 23, 2017, a local man from sandwich Massachusetts, who chooses to have his identity hidden was fishing at the Cape Cod Canal, for his dinner at 5. What he didn't know was that he was a potential dinner for the Great White Shark that was found in the canal. That morning the Great White Shark was following a fishing boat the was off the coast throwing bait in the water trying to get fish. The fishing boat returned at about 5 am and unloaded everything off their boat safely. What no one knew was that one of the deadliest sea animals followed their boat all the way back to the Sandwich Marina where it was trapped and was not able to get out. With the shark trapped it soon began to go hungry around 5pm, the shark smelled bait off a fisherman coming from the canal. With the scent of the bait, the shark was able to find its way out of the marina and gnawing down on the fisherman's bait. The fisherman at first thought he was fighting a 13-pound fish, but instead, he was fighting against and 15 foot Great White Shark. As the shark came out of the water the fisherman realized what he caught and immediately let go of his rod because he understood he would never win against the shark. As we arrived at the canal after this accident, we got a quote from the fisherman he said, “although I didn't get my fish for dinner, I’m glad I didn't become dinner for that fish
